The Irvine Animal Care Center is embarking on a $25 million project to expand compassionate care for pets awaiting a forever home. A groundbreaking event was held in early August, marking a new chapter for the center, which has been dedicated to animal protection and adoption since 1982.

Upgrades include a new reception area, spacious kennels, improved activity yards and a state-of-the-art clinic, significantly expanding the center’s ability to provide care and comfort to injured and neglected animals.

The project’s completion is slated for summer 2026, and the center will remain open during the renovation process.
