Orange County officials celebrated this week the grand opening of the OC Health Care Agency’s new Irvine campus, designed to bring several HCA departments under one roof.
The $78 million facility includes administrative offices, a public health lab, community and nursing services and emergency management services. The Board of Supervisors approved the 70,000-square-foot construction contract in 2022.

ampus building is a reflection of how far we’ve come and where we’re headed as a health agency,” OCHCA Director Dr. Veronica Kelley said. “Bringing critical services together under one roof allows us to respond faster, work smarter, and serve our community more effectively.”
The new facility replaces outdated infrastructure, said Fifth District Supervisor Katrina Foley.
“But more than just a building, this is a transformative step in how we address public health, now and in the future,” she said. “For the first time, multiple divisions of the Health Care Agency will operate under one roof. That means greater efficiency, faster communication, and stronger collaboration — both in emergencies and daily operations.”
The new site is near the Be Well OC campus in Irvine, a behavioral health crisis treatment and follow-up services center, which is still under construction and expected to be completed in May.
