The City of Irvine is celebrating the summer season with the launch of Summer in the City. Beginning June 27, the community can attend free, family-friendly activities held throughout June, July, and August at Irvine parks. Enjoy outdoor movie nights under the stars with Movies on the Lawn, or groove to live music at Summer Concerts and Symphony in the Cities.
Movies on the Lawn:
The community is invited to Great Park Live for an outdoor, family movie night on the big screen. Bring low-back chairs, blankets, and a picnic, or purchase tasty treats from gourmet food trucks and a snack bar. Guests can arrive early, with food trucks available beginning at 6:30 p.m. Movies begin after sunset and are weather permitting.

Summer Concerts:
Jam to family-friendly concerts at Mike Ward Community Park — Woodbridge, covering a variety of musical genres from country rock and dance hits to classic soul. Concerts begin at 5:30 p.m. Guests can bring picnic-style treats or purchase snacks from gourmet food trucks.

Saturday, August 17 — DW3 • R&B, Soul, Old School Funk
Symphony in the Cities:
Enjoy a free outdoor concert featuring the Pacific Symphony, led by my Music Director, Carl St.Clair. This year’s concert will be held at Great Park Live. Pre-concert, family-friendly activities begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the concert beginning at 7 p.m.
Sunday, August 18 — Symphony in the Cities: Pacific Symphony
All Summer in the City events are free (no tickets or pre-registration required). Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests should bring low-back chairs and blankets; layered clothing is recommended.
Great Park Live is located at 8000 Great Park Blvd., in Irvine. Mike Ward Community Park — Woodbridge is located at 20 Lake Road, Irvine.
