Taco Bell is reprising some of its menu items from decades past, but they will only be available at three restaurants in Orange County, at least for now.

Beginning Thursday, Aug. 15, the Irvine-based fast food giant is testing a menu of its “most mouth-watering, iconic hits through the decades” with the goal of bringing them back nationwide for a limited time later this year, according to a news release.

The tests will be at these locations.

Brea: 303 W. Imperial Highway, Aug. 15-21.

Fullerton: 131 E. Orangethorpe Ave., Aug. 15-19.

Irvine: 2222 Barranca Parkway, Irvine, Aug. 15-21.

Sort of like Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, the test will revisit five of Taco Bell’s eras.

The 1960s: The tostada, which was one of Taco Bell’s six menu items when Glen Bell opened the chain’s first walkup stand in 1962. It was discontinued in 2020. Featuring refried beans, lettuce, cheese and red sauce on a crispy shell, it will sell for $2.19.

The ’70s: The Green Burrito features beans, cheese, onions and green sauce. It will cost $2.49.

The ’80s: The Meximelt is a flour tortilla stuffed with beef, three cheeses and pico de gallo. It will cost $2.99.

The ’90s: The Beef Gordita Supreme features beef, reduced-fat sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes and three cheeses in warm flatbread. It will cost $2.99.

The 2000s: This dessert item features apple and a creamy caramel-flavored filling in a crispy shell. It will cost $2.99.

These items will feature original recipes, according to representatives.
